Come to learn Go programming language. Powerful compiled, strongly typed language conceived at Google with influence of Plan 9 that favors concurrency and ease of use. Currently core to most of the current container and cloud-native ecosystem components like Kubernetes, Openshift, Podman, Docker, Prometheus,... No prior experience is needed, although we will not cover general basic concepts of programming. Please bring your computer with any of Linux, Windows or Mac OS with you.

Currently working as Software Engineer at Red Hat in Fedora Multi-Arch team working mostly on the Fedora CoreOS for non-x86_64 arches and maintaining Go compiler in Fedora. In the past maintained Go compiler in RHEL as member of Tools team and did even more hacking on non-x86_64 arches both in Fedora and RHEL as member of Secondary Architectures team at Red Hat. In free time plays Go.
Pavel Tišnovský vystudoval VUT FIT a v současné době pracuje ve společnosti Red Hat, kde vyvíjí nástroje pro OpenShift a k němu přidružené technologie. V současnosti používá převážně programovací jazyky Go a Python (v tomto pořadí), dříve též Lua a Clojure, v odůvodněných případech i Javu, BASH. ANSI C a assembler.
