Defining a formal model of a CI/CD pipeline and creating a pipeline configuration compiler.
People usually use multiple CI/CD platforms throughout their lives, starting at university and continuing through multiple jobs. At each phase, they might have to learn a different platform configuration.
We have defined a formal model of a CI/CD pipeline that allows us to use a single configuration language and a compiler that translates it into any concrete platform-specific CI/CD configuration.
How will this help to create and maintain higher-quality CI/CD processes with lower effort?
